Anyone with a R3 connect their notebook to this monitor? If you have, is it a good monitor and does the nvidia vision work through a 1.4 hdmi cable or does it require a dvi connection to the m11x?

i don't see how it wouldn't work, the video card does support 3d vision, so you only need 2160p capable HDMI cable to play 1080p 3D, but according to wiki version 1.4 does support that.

I don't really see how using the R3 with that monitor would benefit other than watching movies, as 540m video card isn't really all that powerful.

Your probably right but I thought I read somewhere that the 540 is supported by the Nvidia Vision kit. I am not sure if it works or not, but I would think Nvidia would state it is not supported if it is not powerful enough.

The 335 in the r1 and r2 supports 3d vision, but only movies. So you may be able to run it on the r3. Check out nvidias web site, they can scan your computer and tell you if you can.

I am still waiting for my R3 to ship; however I do recall going to Nvidia's website and running that when I had a R1. It told me that my system and graphic card was not supported.

Does any 120 Hz LCD TV work with Nvidia Vision or does it have to be 3d ready?
