    Hi all,

I just got my M11x r2 last week and it's been sitting in its case. I was expecting it this week so I had no time to play with it...until today.

So, I wanted to upgrade this bad boy with an ssd (gskill sandforce 120gb), and a new wireless card. Everything was going as planned...except.

The device manager doesn't pick up the wireless card. I got the card from Amazon through buy.com and it seems to be authentic. I snaked an extra antenna through the case as well.

The card that came with the laptop is detected an works.

I wanted to upgrade the network card so I can connect on the road.

So what am I missing? Bios is set to wlan on...

When I upgraded to my 6200, I downloaded all the drivers first. Then removed the stock WLAN (Dell 1520) and installed the Intel 6200. Put it all back together and it worked fine after installing the drivers...

I downloaded the zip file instead of the exe from intel and ran the install from that and now it works. I am so confused.

Even the drivers off the cd wouldn't work.

    At least it's working now!

    Thanks for the help.

full bars on my house network and my neighbor's for the win!

Can i put an 6300 in a M11x R1? And without an extra antenna, does it worth upgrading?

If it's possible, which driver should i use?
