Anyone have any idea how much smaller the M11x would be if just the intel integrated graphics were used and not the 335M ?

I just wonder how large this card is.

Pretty small. It's not a separate card, just takes up a small portion of the motherboard which is only half of the width of the laptop. Most of the chassis is battery and hard drive.

    Can't really answer that question.

The actual chip itself is pretty small... we're talking about the size of a playing card for the GPU, all of the video RAM, and all of the interconnects for that GPU.

But the entire laptop was designed and engineered around that chip. The cooling system, the chassis, the layout, the power... all of it designed around an nVidia 335M GPU, instead of integrated graphics.

It would be like asking "How much smaller would a car be if it didn't have a back seat?" That's not really a very good question to ask, because the back seat itself isn't too big... around 150-200lbs, and the size of a large desk. What really takes up space is that the rest of the car was designed with the assumption that there would be a back seat.
