played for several hours each bfbc2 + Vietnam, portal, team fortress 2,and borderlands. 0 issues 0 lag no issues my crotch does eat up a little but i will be getting a netbook cooler. Anyone recommend a any. all i did was tweak services and startup up and overclocked cpu upgrade to 8gb ram as well don't know what everyone's dilemma is. There was however a driver update for graphics from dell which i did. Bios came allready up to date if you can believe that!

    M11xR1 or R2?

I have too been enjoying lots of BC2 lately on my R1. I had to spend a bit of time tweaking the game to get what I consider an acceptable framerate but overall I am very impressed. Heck I even ran it on my main computers 1680x1050 monitor and it handled BC2 "ok" on that as well (at the same settings).

I am running Nvidia drivers 258.96 and noticed a jump in performance over the Dell 197.72's).

The notebook cooler I use is one I had for my old Advent 6555. It is massive an dwarfs the M11x but the dual fans help to keep it nice and cool. It is an Akasa 17" model.

Get your bios updated to A05 as it should fix an issue around the fan not spinning down quickly after you switch back to the integrated graphics.

The bios itself is available from the dell support website.

If you don't mind losing your switching ability I would definately give the 258.96 drivers a try. Also download either MSI afterburner or EVGA Precision to monitor your GPU usage, temps, clocks and framrate in games.

    Oh and enjoy! :)
