My friend just got an old alienware area 51 with sli gtx 260s in it. He gave it to met to put a hdd in and get setup for him. When I went to plug it in i see the psu seems to use some weird proprietary plug going into it with 3 flat prongs? I have never seen a power cable like this before and have not had much luck googling does anyone rscpgne this and know what I should be searching for online to buy for it?

Looks like UK standard.

I thought UK had 2 flat at the top and the bottom one is vertical I cannot remember seeing any plugs like this and went through all outlet types on Wikipedia and Idk how my friend would have gotten a UK alienware from them.

@Lunatics Here's the cable you need:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR3.TRC2.A0.H0.XC19 power cord.TRS0&_nkw=C19 power cord&_sacat=0
It's not proprietary, just another standard commonly found on some enterprise-class server PSUs.
If you look up C19 power cord you'll find tons. I believe the C21 also fits, if you find one.Last edited: Apr 17, 2015Dannemand likes this. -
