    Hey there!

So I've been having a lot off issues with my new Area 51 r2. Here's my story...

The first two weeks the system seemed great. I only had world of Warcraft install so all was good. I decided to put final fantasy 14 on it which is where I ran into my first issue. It wouldn't install multiple times with errors everywhere. When I finally got it on my hard drive, Windows would become unresponsive trying to open it. So I uninstalled it.

Next, while gaming, my monitor would cut out turning off then on. When this happens, the lights on the actual tower would turn off and on too.

Next, I installed Star Wars TOR, but the performance on the game was terrible regardless of the graphics settings. So I uninstalled it.

After this, my system would freeze on "shut down" when trying to turn it off. I would have to hold down the power button to turn it off. It doesn't do this offend but once is too much.

Next, world of Warcraft started to studded and lag at any graphical setting. This was very irritating because it's really the only game I play.

Alienware tech support ran many tests to see what was wrong but nothing came up on tests. They sent a tech out to replace my gpu.

This is the worst of it. The tech had no idea what to do with my system. We was forcibly prying the panel on my town to get to the gpu until I say him doing this and showed him how to open it. Then he was yanking on my gpu very hard until he realized it was still secured by screws. He then tried to push the new gpu into place with a lot of force, seeming to bend the mother board. The new gpu has not fixed any of my issue and the panel does not fix flush anymore from the techs prying to get inside. He was very rough on my system and never grounded himself before working on my system.

Now I've had random shut downs and beeping while startup. It doesn't do this all the time but again, once is too many.

The new gpu seems to get hotter than my last one. The alien fx says this one is at 85 degrees plus while on world of Warcraft and my first one that came with the system never got over 65 degrees.

I'm still in contact with tech support, which have been helpful so far, but I am wondering what to expect next. I do NOT want that same tech coming back and working on my system again. He was completely unprofessional.

What do you guys think? What should I do next? My system is 5 weeks old with a one year warranty

Under warranty, best for me to leave it to them to figure out. @Alienware-L_Porras is the Mon-Fri Rep here, wait for word between now & Tuesday. I tagged him so he should reply to your concern 'soon'.You made a companion post on AlienArena so I see ( TechSupport) & AlienClub as well ( A-Rod, the moderator there's known to have the weekends off actually, but u may get lucky on the Club, we'll watch & see. He's attentive Mon-Fri, earns his money, helps a lot of folks out) ...

I do an ongoing case study as an (anti) social experiment over on the Arena for my own personal amusement, to see how often or not the moderators there pitch in to help folks, which is their job. Eversince Windows 10 launched last July, the mods there have all but vacated the premises & are normally all asleep at the wheel > it's degenerated into a user-to-user forum with almost no moderator tech input. Maybe one guy helps once every 2-3weeks from what I've seen. Join me Sir ... if no one spies in from the mothership to read me here, how 'bout we 'test' these Aliens to see if they're asleep at the wheel over there on your grave issue ...

That's right Porras, I've been studying you freaking aliens since last August ... your 'tech-support' over there's atrocious, all but non-existent. *** edit: to Porras' credit he does a good job clocking in here at NBR & putting out some fires from my on-going study of his attendance record; this is necessary since all the Clevo Reps act like they live here at NBR ...***

@se7enthletter: I chimed in to tag the rep here for you, I don't know what the issue is or what comes next. If you find they do not handle things the way you want, you can go public on twitter/facebook: pillory / shaming the aliens out in full view of the public before the whole human race works best at getting a fast resolution or system exchange when lucky ...tough it out til then ...

did you get any love or joy out of tech support yet? I heard once that the world was created in 6days. What news since last Friday? Any help from A-Rod on the AClub?

I guess if it were me, I would have sparked up a new hdd/ssd (spare/eBay/MicroCenter etc), reinstalled W7/8.x/10 + all drivers + CmndCntr & see how my system responded after a clean lean install (I may even be tempted to clone/image that drive to another drive / make a back up etc, for all future testing on what I would expect is a glitch/error free install).
