OK so I got a notification today on my AURORA R5 about driver updates through the Support Assistant. Every driver update installed without issue. My only problem was the Intel Management Engine Interface driver update. It is version 11.0.0.1178, A00.
I told it to install and then it asked me to reboot so I did. Upon boot up I lunched Support Assistant again and it still showed the same update for the IMEI driver. I then tried a few more times with the same result. I downloaded the driver off the Dell website and after I launched it the only options were to remove it or repair it. I went ahead and repaired it and then tried a few more times through the Support Assistant with the same issue. It was like it wasn't installing.
I checked the driver through the device manager and it shows version 11.0.0.1176. I tried to update through windows and it told me the driver was up to date.
I then checked the control panel and in the programs list it reads that the version is 11.0.0.1178 which is the latest version.
Is this just a bug or do I need to do something? I thought about uninstalling the driver through device manager and then installing it but I don't want to mess anything up as everything is working.
It's almost as if it did update but doesn't reflect the update in the device manager.
The control panel program reads 1178 which is the latest version and the installer acts as if 1178 is already installed as it only offers a remove or repair option and not and upgrade option. Yet, in the device manager it reads 1176.
Any advice? Should I just leave it alone?

Don't use the Bloated trashware from Dell. Download and install drivers manually from Dell's support site or from the hardware manufacturer.

Ok but that still doesn't answer my question here.
