So my friend called Korky has an Alienware Alpha. He told me he isn't using it because it is very slow. Apparently, it was gifted to him so it's the lowest end model with an i3 CPU, 500 GB HDD and 4GB of RAM.
Can it be upgraded?
If yes, how easy/difficult is it and what can be upgraded and to what? I don't even know if it has a Hotwell or Skyflake CPU

It looks like that it comes with a Haswell Intel® Core™ i3-4130T Processor (3M Cache, 2.90 GHz) CPU and it can be upgraded, it has two DDR3 RAM SODIMM slots so that can be upgraded too, it has a 2.5" HDD/SSD bay which can be replaced also.

it says it has a GeForce GTX but which one is it? can the GPU be upgraded or is that soldered to the motherboard?

The GPU is soldered (this was addressed when the Alpha was first introduced). Everything else, though, is upgradable. The CPU is limited to Haswell CPUs, though, and it's best to use T CPUs due to their low TDP.
The GPU is just a modified GTX 860m.
Can an Alpha be upgraded?
