This is a notebook forum we usually only talk about the notebooks here. Most of us don't own the desktops.

Alienware notebooks are very good and offer something different. The desktops not so much. You would likely need to get an unlocked bios.

If your BIOS has an adjustment for "Flex VID" or Turbo Voltage, something like that, lower it.

If you cannot find such a setting, try using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) and you should be able to lower the turbo or core voltage that way.

Out of curiosity, what makes you say the voltage is too high? It should run at the intended voltage by default. If you lower the voltage much you will also need to lower the clock speed, which will then lower performance. If you want to do this because of heat, perhaps improving cooling would be a better solution. At one point there was a problem with the coolant being used in the Alienware desktop liquid cooling systems. It was turning to a gel and not flowing correctly. There was a thread in the Alienware Club at Dell Community on this problem. If your system is running too hot, there is a chance that might be the cause.

i already have 2 custom build, but i prefer my 2 aliens :)

i dont think i have the jelly problem, (my temps are not so hi, my cpu is overclocked and is the most hot intel processor that exist - 3790x - 150W TDP on stock, mine is at 220-240W TDP ) but placing a H90i could be a good idea

That could work, better cooling is definitely what you need if you want to OC higher.

Blah. Could have helped you. The Aurora R4 can overclock just like any other motherboard. The only issue is cooling and LLC.

    The voltage is NOT locked.

Yes looks like the liquid either was reacting to forma solid or was not filtered properly.
