Has anyone had a problem where the mounts for the video card start to peel off when screwing in the heat sink? I'm having that problem now and I'm scared that a new motherboard could be in order.

Is there any remedy for this?

    Thanks

Resoldering is your best bet. Use leaded solder, it's stronger and doesnt melt when the machine gets hot.

That bracket can be stuck down nicely with a light application of epoxy resin.
I've used Araldite Rapid to do the same job.
