I own the the m17x r-1 that came from alienware shortly before it was bought out from Dell.

In an attempt to find drivers for my m17x I was able to find this http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware/426562-official-alienware-m17-drivers-page.html However its hard to verify if that is for the Dell m17x or the Alienware m17x. I am also wanting to update the Bios however I can not find an update for it( I think). I have seen that the bios is at a07 or something, however the Bios currently installed is 306. Can someone point me in the right direction for a more up-to-date version or am I just over all skrewed.

I am currently experiencing issues with the the video card(might be fried). The device manager is reporting the general error code 43. Might there be a different approach to fixing it rather then uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. (Nvidia Quadro FX3600m) What video cards can possibly take its place.

Those are for the m17 not the m17x, totally different system but both original alienware. I believe your system officially supports:
    8800GTX,8700M GT, 9800M GT, Quadro FX3600M
Sounds a bit like a corrupt windows install though if it's simply a device manager error code.
