ok so i have an hd 3870 in my laptop. but gpu-z is saying it is an 3870 x2
but i look at the amount of pipelines in the gpu using gpu-z and it is saying i have 320 pipelines. that is the same amount as a standard hd 3870 mobility. not the x2 version which has 640 pipelines.

any ideas as to what happened here? my theory is some retard tried to flash the bios to a 3870 x2 mobility

ive also noticed that my card is under performing according to the benchmarks on notebookcheck.com

In the dropdown box is another card listed? I don't know enough about the old m17x but the X2 card may still be listed twice by GPU-Z and may have two entries with the shaders etc... split between the two.

It's a mistake in GPUz (not a bad bios flash).

If you contact the person/people who code GPUz they can probably fix that bug in the next update.

BTW HWinfo64 thinks my single 4870 is 4870x2.
