So I was working on a powerpoint presentation over the last three days, setting my pc on sleep overnight. I went to re-open my file, and all of a sudden all the text was invisible. The formatting was still in place as can be seen from the first picture (you can see the pictures on various slides), but no text. (My MS Office is 2007)

This is weird, because file preview displays text just fine in this second picture from the windows explorer (even shows the image on the first page...edited for privacy).

I was thinking something is wrong with my font database or integrity because of this when I launched firefox... Look at the first words in the link bars that should read "Media upload" "Sign Up" "Tools" and "My Images"

but it has affected other things on my computer as well as can be seen from the missing text in my logitech settings window.

I've noticed that a lot of the programs that I run off my C drive's Program Files (x86) are affected, for instance, my winamp and skype that are on that drive crash at startup (which were working fine before), but a winamp installed on D drive opens fine. Another example is MS Word, which has problems opening any files as well distorting the fonts inside formatting as well.

Adding to this confusion is that when I login to my administrator account on the computer, there is no weird warped/missing text on firefox. Same problems exist however with Word, Powerpoint, skype and winamp.

When I run skype I get these messages

    FIRST window
    "skype "parameter is incorrect" "

    SECOND window
"Exception EOutOfResources in module Skype.exe at 00142A1E
The specified resource name cannot be found in the image file
    ."

Then if I choose to report and close the problem I get this error code from windows:

    Problem signature:

So that's a lot of information, and I'd be happy to post a hijackthis.txt if someone can help me figure out what the hell is going on. No odd processes visibly running, so I don't think it's a virus (and I haven't been using any new or odd files), and I don't think it's the RAM itself because I can play BFBC2 just fine when I've loaded it today and played for about an hour to test... Hope some kind soul can point me in the direction of answers... (and yes, I've tried "repairing" MS office from the control panel\programs)
