Gents, have an AREA 51 M17x that I love and still enjoy when the time permits. The system has 9800m gt in SLI and still plays current graphic pigs like Need for speedshift, resident evil 5 and Crysis warhead with out issue on their highest settings. BUT I imagine that soon that will not be so.

Im looking into up grading the master card to the gtx 280m but I understand that the Gen-2 M17x was having issues with the card. What was the problems, were they solved? Should I just go to a 9800 gtx in SLI instead of one gtx 280?

I know that if go the 280 route that Ill only be able to utilize one 280 but I should be able to utilize 9800 gtx in SLI correct?

The GTX 280m, scores about the same as 2 9800m GTX's in 3dmark06. But, one GTX 280m uses 1/2 the power of two 9800m GTX's.

    280m GTX=75 watt. 9800m GTX SLI=150 watt.
