    can't switch graphic card

    hi,I thing that my geforce 8800GTX is allmost fried up.I used binary gfx and for some reason I switch grapic card on 8800.Now I can't use my m15x because before windows start my eyes see black screen and all system is freeze. I can't switch to integrate gfx because before I can use OSD Fn+F7 key there is black screen already.Is there any another way to switch to binary gfx card?Please help

    not sure since I don't have a m15x but in the m17x you can select the card in advanced graphic setting in the BIOS (disabling Hybrid and enabling integrated should force the integrated card use)

    I checked it twice,there isn't any option in BIOS where I can choose graphic card.What happend when I plug out external 8800GTX?

    if your 8800 is the problem you could still try to remove if from the system it should force the system to boot on the integrated one

    and yes this is legacy

    I just removed 8800GTX and system come back to internat GFX, so now I'm writing on m15x but without external graphic card :(
    Anyone whats death Geforce 8800GTX?

    at least now you have a "functional" laptop


    well if you are no longer under warrantie you have 2 options
    the number one is the baking is will work on the short therm but this GPU is fundamentaly flawed so it will die again on you

    the second one is tho replace it with a ati 3870 similar performence (a little slower from what has ben reported but i honestly doubt) crispier image, less heat and good luck killing on of thoses

    If you hold down the touchpad button on the right side while it's powered off, it turns on in integrated mode, even with the 8800M GTX still attached.
