    I would try this first.

    1. Unplug the computer.
    2. Pull the battery.
    3. Hold down the power button for 20 seconds or so.

Reinsert Battery, Plug in and Power On.

    That should clear the fault.

    Good Luck.

I agree with danp but would take it one step further and pull out the the cmoswire from the motherboard with tweezers. This was the o ly thing that worked for me. Although i would try with removing the wire first to be lessninvasive on your system.

Did you hold the power button to drain leftover power stored in the capacitors after u unplugged the cmos wire.

This does not sound like a BIOS problem. It sounds like an incomplete or corrupt Win 7 installation which renders it unable to boot from the SSD. I would put the SSD in the laptop, boot from the Windows installation CD, reformat the SSD and install Windows again. It makes no sense that a failed Win 7 installation would result in a corrupted BIOS.

    Yea,

Sometimes things just "get stuck," and the "power flea" will often make things right again.

Let us know how things work out for you

    at

The bios is back now and i installeed w7 on the ssd and AW hdd.
But there some wierd problem now.
I boot up the machine this moring and again no bios..(all worked well before).
So i make a restart.pull out the battery and power. push the button for 20sec and the machine boots ok.

Now the problem is that the machine dont see any usb anymore.
Not even a usb stick in the bios. The mouse is ligthing up ,but now movements at all.
i have deleted all the usb device's in the device manger and reboot windows.

But non of this all works.
So i think the AW is the problem, because is try to reinstall windows and even at the piont where i try to load a driver in the installation . The usb stick and mouse isnt showed up.

Any tips.../ This machine makes me nuts.. :(

    THX

If your system is still under warranty I would definitely call Dell and let them figure out this mess.
