    looking at a new area51m
can anyone tell me the brightness difference between the two 144hz displays ?
Im a draftsman, I need a dedicated gpu laptop, and I stare at the screen for long periods of time

I don't believe there is a brightness difference between the 144hz GSync and 144hz non-GSync displays on the Area-51m...for $50 extra you might as well get the GSync version.

Well I bought the 2080 because I do a heavy amount of gaming and love the fast frames. But on a 1080p display, you're going to get good performance from the 2060, 2070 or 2080 options anyway. You said light gaming, so I would maybe consider the 2060 or 2070 instead of the 2080. Have you checked out the Dell Outlet? The Area 51m is now available there, and the discounts are significant. Use the savings to get a longer warranty and still come out ahead. Plus, they ship faster. Also, if you find the model you want and then "Chat" and ask for additional discount, they will give you an additional 8% off.

the 2080 is very tempting, but none in here in Australia (in the refub store) but tempted to get it shipped to aus though
