hey guys. this is a first gen i think but here is what is going on. i turn on the laptop and everything starts up as normal. well when i get in to windows and start messing around on the net i notice some artifacts just start randomly appearing and disappearing. then i get a lil window that pops up saying something about the nvidia drivers are being release or something like that. then ill get half a screen for 5secs then black out. so i turn off the lappy by holding the power button wait and try to turn it back on. i get the sound but no display. so i turn it off and let it set for a couple hrs. (i was playing cod on 360) so crank her back up and figured the drivers are bad so ill try the alienware restore back to factory well as i was going through the screens these artifacts start coming back. so i thought gpu. right when i did i notice that the gpu side of the keyboard was hot. turned her around and the gpu fan wasnt running. so im thinking i need a new fan. what do yall think? i plan on testing the fan out first but im not sure how to do this. any thoughts? where can i get a new fan?

btw the card is a 8800gtx

well i tried the air. turned it on and the fan was spinning. oddly enough that there was no dust in it.. i wonder if it got jammed and the air just spun it loose. but now when i turn it on still have the black out screen but i can here windows starting up. did i burn my card up? any video tut to taking the video card out and baking it?

update= OMG i cant believe i did this. took my card out and put in the oven for 10mins at 385. threw back in the lappy and it booted up just fine. WOW!
