    alienware d9t no video

    hey guys i got a alienware d9t to tinker with and my problem is the machine powers on but theres no video what so ever the screen doesnt even light up so im just here to get some input before i go on ebay and start buying unnecessary parts

    Connect it to an external monitor, first.
    If there's output, your GPU is fine and your next step should be checking the monitor cables.

    The clevo d9t/d900k have no videos flaws all the time.

    First,

    Reseat the video card (GPU)

    IF THAT DOESNT WORK THEN

    Reflow the video card with a heatgun for about two minutes, 1 min on LOW and 1 Min on HIGH, then let it cool for 45 mins.

    if that doesnt work either

    You will need to get high end motherboard repairs done. From what I know about these systems, the Intel Chipset can get a cold solder joint and refuse to display anything on the screen, or the gpu socket has a cold solder joint, or the GPU itself is screwed.

    anyone know where i can get a cpu for the alienware d9t im restoring i looked on ebay but all i saw was from over seas

    also after doing a ton of test it came down to the cpu being bad even after a reflow
