Good morning gents, Ive got an Area 51 M17x that takes DDR-2 Ram. Does the speed of the RAM really effect performance? What is the fastest that my M17x can utilize?

The speed of the ram does effect performance but not enough for most people to see for what they do. It looks like you laptop can hold DDR 667mhz ram. Knowing alienware that is what is in your laptop to begin with. You can check that by using cpuid.
