    Thermal paste for Processor Intel X9000

    Can anyone please specify a suitable thermal paste for CPU.

    My processor is Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 @2.80 GHz (Dual processor).

    I use silver arctic 5 paste on everything, its good stuff!

    I use ANtec Formula 5, which dropped my CPU temp by 6C. Just about any after-market, name brand paste will be better than stock paste.

    I forgot to mention that highest temperature that I recorded was 103C, PC shuts down automatically, i will like to keep it around 90C

    My personal new preference is ICD7 i've found it works better than AS5 ;)

    You must be overclocking it, unless you put the cooler or paste on badly, 103 is way too hot for a cpu, it will heat every thing else up inside the PC aswell, Ive an X9100 and only hits 80c after heavy gaming.

    then you have a bad past job a good cleaning and any paste even the cheapest one would do a better job

    all of the above stated paste do a ggreat job provided they are aplid properly

    I tried some other paste on my new desktop cpu and i am extremely happy about it:

    Noctua NT-H1

    I suggest this above OCZ Freeze any day now :).

    Actually dremel is not available in my region, ordering from USA/UK etc is way too expansive for me, still looking for other option ...
    Same goes for the pastes :(
