Just found this one out while surfing,

The NVIDIA GPU Litigation - Home Page

"If you bought a Dell, HP laptop or Apple MacBook Pro between 2007-2008 with an Nvidia GPU, you are eligible for free repairs as part of a settlement agreement between Nvidia and U.S. District Court in California".

The reason i am posting in this section is because, a lot of people owning the Area 51 m15x IMO also should come under this particular free repairs compensation. Since almost all of us who owned the 8800m GTX/9800m GT had our card die on us within few months of use because of the defective nature of that particular cards.

What are your opinion on this.

    Peace~

I agree too, but seeing the AW is no longer a separate company it might be touch. Our m15x's were bought under AW corp's name.

There are no Alienware computers affected by the litigation.

If the xps m1730 was covered (used the same video card), you can probably make a case for it in a phone call with dell to ask for a replacement.
