    Hearing this laptop only supports 800mhz FSB processors...whats the best I can get? No quad cores? :rolleyes:

    Well from my knowlage it looks like you are stuck with dual core. Which isnt bad even for gaming. The Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 2.80 GHz Processor is the fastest CPU for 800MHZ FSB. You can get them on ebay for about $180ish USD.

    Just a hint from pre Dell m17x experience, the x9000 cpu's run hot until you take out the little grille area in front of the heatsink. Also sealing up any gaps between the fans and puny heatsinks really drops the temps down

    Surely he can fit an X9100 with the option to overclock as the multiplier is unlocked.

    I wouldnt think so as that is a 1066mhz FSB and he is looking for a 800mhz FSB... But I have never tryed putting a higher FSB CPU in a "lower" rated slot...
