I'm running an M5500i-R3 with Win7(64) and an nvidia 512mb 8600M GS card. Thanks to katalin_2003 I got the drivers installed and it all seems fine and is showing up correctly in the system, but I've found that using directx 11 (as comes with W7) directx 3d isn't available, and opengl is stuck on v1.1. Any ideas would be very welcome.

    Thanks

The 8600M can only use DX10, not 11.

Thanks, I understood directx was totally backwards compatible and that's why you can't roll it back, but having installed XP, 3D now works, so there you go! I'd still like to find a way with W7 and if I have any luck will let you know. Cheers
