Hi! I have read here some post about upgrading m17 r1 with RGB LED screen. But i dont get it, how it is possible with pre dell alienware? LCD-CCFL and LCD-LED screens are not INTERCHANGEABLE, they have different connectors. Or they were wriring about m17x? In that case what is the best screen for m17 r1, can i somehow put inside 3d screen?

I believe there is no way and they must be referring to the DELL one.

The posts you read were referring to the Dell Alienware M17x and the M17x R2.

It is possible with a few suppliers offering modified displays. I fitted an LED in place of a ccfl into a friends sony laptop. The new display came with a little circuit board on the back with the relevant socket needed for the laptop video cable. Worked a treat.
