    Hey wing_X01

You are talking about the two screws on the North Bridge Chipset near the CPU Number 5 and 6

The 2 Screws Number 5 and 6 are size M2.5X6

Thank You so much Jay,but the weird things is,when you use that screws, when you open the palmrest cover or the top cover, you can see that the black sticker that cover the hole for this screw it's not sticking the motherboard,it's like the screws are not fit for this hole (too long),but if you change the screw with the short one like the hdd one,the black sticker sticking to the motherboard, sorry for my english by the way,Thank You once again jay for the explanation .

and if you mix the scree of the case/palmrest to much you can connect your case to the laptop Ground circuitery and obtain a static shock giving laptop

Going with a Smaller screw is safe for your situation

Maybe trying a "Small dab" of Silicone Rubber Sealant before placing the screw back in So that way you don't short circuit your Motherboard

well aparently there is no bad from it except that you would need to take it apart again to put the screws in the right holes

so far its been 2 week since i put it back together the wrong way and no enginer is dumb enough to make any scew go near something else then the ground circuit so it only gives static shock without causing damage its quite uncomforablt though -.- ill have to take it apart again but im waiting on some part and a model so i put the screws back in the right holes also be aware some screw wont come out of certain holes

Mostly all HP, Dell and Toshiba Laptops have the M2.5mm size

Just use the M2.5mm size as your default size to other screws

    Many Thanks,

on a similar note, can you help me with one more thing. I gave my laptop for internal cleaning to a local technician who apparently damaged some screws ( he returned the system back to me saying that it wasn't possible to clean .. i found out when i decided to clean the system myself).

Images of damaged screw are as below,

I am unable to remove the screw so apparently my slave gpu can not be taken out and I don't know what to do. Is there any way to remove the screw without damaging anything.

Wow...just wow...what an idiot that tech must have been.

Basicly he used a wrong screwdriver and f****d up any possibility for you to remove this screw on a normal way.

Now he says its not cleanable hoping you won't notice the damage he has done.

Go back and demand money for the damage done.

** Holy Smokes *** that was some serious damage All the pics are like "Forceful Torque" or "Burred Screw" which in hand can damage the head on the screws but you can still get them out with some patiences

You can do a DIY on the screws and use a very small drill bit and extractor it

Dremel tool with a thin cut-off wheel, you cut a thin slot in the head of the screw, and use a flat-bladed driver on that one.

The tech shop that you had service in should pay for the damages

Those techs where lairs when they said that its not cleanable

I personally would take them to ** Small Claims Court **

    Thanks Mates,

Dremel seems to be a good option, I will look into it
