    Marvie, am I assuming correctly that those of us who dont have access to the "my hive" section of the alienware site can still get the same updates from the dell drivers section?

    Alienware MyHive is for M17, Area-51 m17x, Area-51 m15x, M9750 and lower.
    M15x, and M17x are Dell products so you can get the updates from Dell.

    for the M17x, just use the PowerDVD that came with the machine and update it (the program will guide you)

    the Command Center (A03 version) is up for the M17x as well

    I have no idea what they changed from the Vista version, I just posted all the Windows 7 links I saw in MyHive.

    I tried Power DVD Patch and it says I need a retail version of Power DVD. Anyone else got same problem?

    yes,you must have the retail version,alienware gave you when you bought your system from them,if you don't have it,same as my case,which i think they forgot to included one, :(

    they are both availible on the my hive of your system so you can install it then patch it

    no granyte,i looked ,and talk about it on the phone with the tech support,and he made the alien connect thing,so he can look at my system and etc,and finally gave up and send me the link for download the power dvd 6 which isn't what installed in my system,since i received power dvd 8 on the first place

    Maybe someone can just host PowerDVD8 for you from their resource disk. It should not have anyway to distinguish between what system it is loaded on and since it is pre-activated should work.
