Hello there, I've been doing everything i can to figure out what is wrong with my computer and i can't figure it out. So i figured I'd come here. Anywho!

I dont really move my laptop. Like....ever. It basically sits on my desk unless im going out of town, but last night i was playing WoW and raiding and all the sudden my computer just straight up quit taking a charge. And i checked my power supply and everything and all lights were lit up and everything. Messed with the cord and it started taking a charge again. So i thought everything was clear.

Then about 3 hours later, again. Flashing light comes on again and its not taking a charge any longer. Few hours later the computer died and i can not get it to take a charge. Do you think its internally in the computer or the ac adapter itself?

Im going through the same thing actually, it's more than likely the jack if you have the barrel plug(no center pin) on your AC adapter. what happens is there are contacts surrounding the center of the jack that have to make contact with the inside metal of the barrel plug, well often times from flexing and moving the connector it can either pop the jack loose(partially) or the contacts become pressed down and no longer spring up. Either way youll have to find a new jack for the motherboard(get it repaired).

Another possibility is the inside metal ring of your AC adapter has become tarnished. In which case you can unplug your ac adapter and take a small piece of sandpaper on a screwdriver and rub it against the inside ring of the barrel plug.
Another option if it is the actual plug you can take a Dell PA-12 or pretty much any dell AC adapter and lop the end off and splice the new connector on it'll fit perfectly

Just thought i'd leave you with some options the AC Adapter is $90-110 and thats if you can find the Li Shin PSU NOT the 4 Pin version.
