    Hey,

So, I recently tried installing ATI's official 10.10 driver set on my m17 with crossfire 3870s and it made my comp freeze when trying to load CS:S with steam every time. I decided to look elsewhere from new(er-ish?) drivers, happened about donotargue.com's DNA drivers and have tried installing them.

The 10.10c drivers were what I'm trying to install, but I've had a few problems(I've tried the 10.10d but it didn't work either). First, the ...cleaner.bat mistakenly only uninstalls drivers because of line 10 of the .bat file, which goes to uninstall before the menu. So, after editing that line, I go through and install the ReadyDriverPlus (RDP) manually (because it doesn't install through the .bat either), then do eWrecked's advice on uninstalling my current drivers (using driver sweeper). When I finally get everything clean for the install, have rebooted using RDP and should be able to install the DNA-ATI files, I get an error message about an installation trying to install unsigned drivers and that they were not installed.

Upon the first reboot after running the .bat file to install the 10.10c drivers, things seem to work fine, I can open and run CS:S, the audio device was set to HDMI output--so no audio until I changed it, but everything was in working order with seemingly installed working tools. However, I reboot again, and on login, I get the error that my ati drivers are not installed, and that there is some error (didn't copy down the message).

So everytime I've tried to install the drivers on my vista x64 sp2 (with the annoying updates that disable the bcdedit line), I get the same error about trying to install signed drivers in the middle of the installation.

Does anyone have any advice/help on how to install the DNA drivers on an m17 with vista x64sp2? Has anyone done this successfully, because I'm starting to wonder, with the problems I've encountered, and the poorly written .bat file.

    Thanks for any help!

    Update:

Re-installed official alienware 8.57 drivers and CS:S started working again =/ Then installed the official ATI 10.11 drivers (after uninstalling the 8.57 ones), and things seem ok. Still wish I could get some resolution to the DNA drivers
