    Hey guys I am looking for a GPU for a older alienware M15X it takes the MXM 2.1 type cards I belive. Just looking for something that will game better then a 8600 that it has now.

    I'd recommend looking for an ATi Mobility Radeon 3870. It's not the most powerful GPU it can take, but it's only marginally slower than an 8800GTX.

    The advantage of the 3870 is that it's much cheaper than an 8800GTX, and it won't burn out after a year of use. Which the 8800GTX WILL.

    Thanks for the info. The 3870 is on the top of my list. I had 2 of them in crossfire in my m17x and they did very well.
