Ok so I have gone through the fire (for me at least) and installed 7 pro 64bit on my new-to-me area 51 m15x. I have everything working except when I install command center I dont get the facial recognition option like I did in vista. All drivers are installed. (except for the ethernet driver) Also ever since I installed command center my windows update has been disabled and when I click "check for updates" it gives me a window saying, "windows update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. you may need to restart your computer..." I have been useing Windows update all afternoon soo idk whats wrong... and would really love some help! oh and I have restarted it/ran a security scan via AVG and have no issues on that end... :p

There is another window that pops up sometimes during log in but I have forgotten what it says... something along the lines of it not finding security... sorry I cant give more details on that. It hasnt popped up the past few times... Thank you all!

EDIT: uninstalled then reinstalled command center... didnt fix issue... so I think its a windows problem. Anyone have any advice or info?

Ok so for those of you who are wondering about this I thankfully was able to get this fixed.
    Did a system restore.
Reinstalled all the items that I needed to put back on
    Did windows update/restarted
then put back on Command Center w/keyboard fix

all works good! Only thing I need to do now is find a good working Nvidia driver. (I have a driver but not a very good one...) I have only tryed prostreet so far but ever few seconds the smooth gameplay stutters...(throughout the whole game) Idk why. Anyone have any idea which nvidia drivers are the "good" ones? thanks in advance.

EDIT: Also I get different temps in speed fan and Thermo fan.... Which one do I trust?

Ok thank you all for helping me... ;) I fixed this as well... (The stuttering issue.) I realized I can’t run speedfan during games as every time it reads/refreshes the temps it stutters the gameplay... :p Thanks for all yalls help! ;)

I do have one question! Thermofan and speedfan each have different temps for the CPU etc... Which one is correct??

Hey everyone! One more thing! :D For those of you who don’t know! (Like me!) ;) I found that on 32 and 64bit versions of windows 7 on the area 51 m15x you MUST disable the AlianFUSION in the services menu. Or else your CPU will be constantly running about 60% ish. (At least that was the case for me, and on multiple accounts). all my games smoothed out! it also quieted down my cpu fan a ton, and over all my temps are sooo much lower... (CPU idling hangs around 34C with no fan, whereas before it would just hit 36C with fans on high.)

Have you tried making a new theme? Sometimes you need to do this to enable all the lights.

Wow! You really are a very self-sufficient person haha. I´m glad that you got everything fixed already. Use HWmonitor for the readings of the temps, it is always accurate.

To be honest with you I never ended up using the facial req program as it kept letting other people in! I could send you a copy of the CC that I use but I can promise the Aliensence will work.

Sorry, I meant to say I can't promise that it will work. Sure, I'll send it today.
