    Hi,

I am from Belgium and several months ago I found in my neighbourhood a barebone of a M17x and bought it immediately, it was love on first sight :p
I am talking about this one: Test Alienware Area-51 m17x Notebook - NotebookCheck.net Reviews

I have made a spreadsheet of al the parts I found online and/or on eBay, but unfortunately it's all coming from the US with high shipping costs :(
Anyone got a webshop where the shipping costs are low or where they sell multiple parts for my alienware? And yes, I already discovered Ztronics :)

    What I need:
    - screws
    - gpu (8800 GTX or 9800 GTX)
    - lcd cable
    - hd caddy
    - hd & ram cover
    - dvd drive
    - new screen panel
    - battery
    - hinge cover
    - powerboard cable

    Welcome to the forum!

Is nice to see that you got a M17! If the parts you are ordering aren't big, it could be shipped with USPS. Do you know someone that you could send the parts so he/she can ship them back to you?

Yes, I just signed in to a parcel forwarding service called Borderlinx, I recalculated my spreadsheet and saved €100 thanks to that^^
After watching my barebone (again), I noticed that the power board with the power button doesn't have a cable to connect it to the motherboard :/

I will love to help you with that, but I have an M17 R1 so it doesn't look the same :). Mine have a cable that connects to the media board and then the media board connects to the motherboard. Good to know that you saved that much!!

It say that its for an M15x and yours is an M17x right? anyways you should ask them, they could know if it's the correct part.
