    Hello.

I have an Alienware Aurora M9700 but it's kind of out-dated now. I want to upgrade it to completely new hardware (CPU, GPU, hard drive, ram, motherboard, etc.). I want to do this not to save money or anything (it'll probs cost more in long run), but more of challenge and the fact you never really see people do this (also, I don't want to give up my carbon fiber case)

Anyway, I've never built a laptop and don't know where to start. Any tips? A parts list to order would be awesome.

Is it an Intel based 9750 or an AMD based 9700? There is loads of info on here about the 9750 & upgrades but I am not sure what will apply for the 9700.

If it's an M9700 there really isnt all that you can do apart from upgrade the RAM and graphics cards and even then you are pretty limited.
