How do I update them to the latest? or better yet how can I install the latest on Windows 7? I switched back to Vista 32 thinking it would allow me to use newer ones but I'm stuck with 185 NVIDIA drivers.

On Windows 7 64-bit if I download newer NVIDIA Drivers my laptop gets Blue Screen of Death but on Vista 32-bit my can't use any newer NVIDIA drivers or it can't detect my 8800m GTX

CHOI... the latest driver that you can use on an Area 51 M15x is the 186.xx series of drivers. There is a wel documented conflict with your lap top's BIOs and any new NVIDIA drivers, something to do with the Area 51 M15x's integrated graphics, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Still a great Lap Top!

My friend is having a problem with this. He tried to upgrade his drivers and he got a code 43 error on his card. Now he can't get any drivers to work for his card and is stuck on the onboard graphics. I tried the 186.xx for his model and version of Windows, but upon trying to install it says it can't find compatible drivers for his card, or something to that effect...but the compatible devices specifically lists his card.

This happends alot, no big issue. I had the same problem. Go into system, properties and select the video card. Go to the advance tab and select drivers. Now select the 186.xx driver to install and force it in. Works everytime.

Last time I just used the adjusted INF files and then it installed smoothly, not sure if that's the proper way, but it's what worked for me.

The INF file works 99.9% of the time. For some reason it wont for me anymore and I have to force in the modded ini by the method I mentioned above. Darkloki I thought you told me that? :)
