Alright well I've tried and tried to clean this screen to perfection and it's hard, lol. First off the screen I have right now wasn't my original screen as I sold that screen to Jdeluna as I had a Matte-High Res Screen, and my games don't really like the high res so I went with a lower res Gloss Screen. THe gloss screen came from a fixer up laptop a few months back maybe a year now. But anyways the screen was always in bad shape, however it looked great when it's on, but it has a TON of smeares on it that become visible when it's off. I want it to look like a mirror that's clean when it's off, I'm starting to think that the previous user used like Windex or something Bad on it before I got it. I've tried everything to clean up this smere and went as far as to use Car Wax (Plastic Solution for glossing up Car plastic Parts and scratch removal) to clean up this screen, I just don't want any smudges on it, you now? Like I want it looking new but I don't think it's possible...

Does anyone know of a re-surfacing technique? If all else fails I will result in just replacing the entire screen.

Have you tried using a microfiber cloth and just rubbing it, no water? If it's really just smudges, they should come off really easily. :)

I fixed it, it looks brand new now. I'm not exactly going to suggest others do this as it could potentially damage your screen, I'm not really sure. But my screen was smudged to hell from the previous owner and I used wipes that are designed for LCD's which didn't really help, nor water. BUt then I used a plasitc's cleaner designed for Cars, which has a little wax in it, and it worked wonders.

I always use regular rubbing alcohol. Works wonders.
