    Hi All,

My m17X R1 came with a TS-L632N IDE Optical Drive, it won't read discs but once in a great while on chance; I was wondering if there is an upgrade that would work or if I need to replace it with another TS-L632 (which is $80 dollars brand new  )? Temporarily I have installed a drive from my old Sony GRZ 630 laptop a Model # UJDA740 drive, but that drive makes it take about 5 minutes to boot up so, that makes me wonder about anything other than original. I'm running Win 7 Home Premium. Any input would help before I spend $80 on an older IDE drive.

    Thanks in Advance!! :D

It sounds like you may need eSata drivers installing.
