Hi, I just picked up an older alienware, Area 51 5700I-R2.
I cant find any info online other than the 5700 or 5750...

This seems to be in the shell of the 5750.

I am hoping to upgrade this system a bit but wonder what motherboard was issued with this model. Its a model somewhere between the 5700 and 5750.

It has the core 2 duo T5500 processor, I would really like to install the T7600 and hopefully a better vid card than the radeon x1800...

Anyone have any info on this custom build? The Area 51 5700I-R2???

I guess I am curious just if I can upgrade anything...mainly video and processor. The T5500 is ok, but something at least 2Ghz would be great. The x1800 Video card is ok, but not quite up to par...am I stuck with it?

I have been researching for a few weeks before posting this here. Its easy to find what others have done in forums such as this but info on this system is very hard to come by it seems.

The only problem a noob like me was able to figure out was the keys on the keyboard that needed replacing...Any links, or relevant info would be greatly appreciated :)
