    Hello All,

I've been looking around for the issue that I'm facing and ran out of luck actually

I've got the M17x R1 with the below specs

    Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x86
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T8100 @ 2.10GHz
    2GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTX (Showing as 9800M GT which is ok both are the same)

The issue is really simple all of the sudden the screen just stopped showing the below everytime it's switched on, it loads windows with no problems but the screen keeps transforming like in the pictures until it goes gray
Took the VGA out put it back in and still same issue

Suddenly after I left it for like a week or so *while keep trying to switch it on like daily to check* .. it came back on VGA working fine games loading with no problems and then happened again and then started working after a week or so

Kept working fine like that for couple of days and then the screen came back and that was while I was installing Windows *not the first time to install it*

Connected to my PC remotely and the Display Driver showing the yellow elimination mark and Device Status shows "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Connected the Laptop via HDMI & TV-Out and it's showing the normal screen but with a fuzzy look and horizontal gray lines like showing in the picture,

    Now I've tried the below

    -Reset MB BIOS
    -Run with/with out Battery
-Fully uninstall the drivers and re-install the original, beta and the latest ones
-Left the Laptop to cool down *For a week lol*

Now I'm not sure if it's the Display Card, Screen, MB, LCD Socket or Flat ... Was thinking about updating the Display BIOS which is going to be hell while connected via HDMI like this .. It's actually a challenge for me :/

    Any Ideas

It seems to me like the GPU is dying, can you try a different GPU?

Well my friend the whole idea that I was going to do that buy one from ebay, but I'm really afraid that it might not be the GPU so that will be a wasted $100 :/
