Well I performed a complete driver sweep, and instaled the 260.99 driver again. The AS5 has cured, and I was wondering what kind of stats Id get. I used the custom instal option and did not instal the 3D drivers because I do not need them.

I was getting about 128 max FPS with the 181.xx driver and the newest SLI and Physcs profiles loaded on the Hawx II demo. Wilth the new driver I hit 172 max fps, with an average of 68! Temps of both GPUs were at 62 and 70.

Ive been playing the new star wars game and Fallout Vegas. Both games are supported by the 260.99 driver and are specificly noted in the support documents for incresed peorfromance in SLI. Star wars plays great maxed out at 1900/1280 res all settings on high no AA, GPU temps at 88 and 70. Fall out:New Vegas, all details maxed, no shading, no AA, no bloom or HDR (dont even know what they do). I can only play Fall out at a 1200 res with settings maxed. Fall out looks great, if you think Crysis stresses your GPUs try Fall out maxed out at native res! Temps stay with in reason and norms for the old M17x 75-85 for both GPus.

The only game that runs hot is MOH: Tier one, it does not have a SLI profile so the one GPU does all the work. After an hour of max details and native res play with an avg of about 55fps the gpu hits 92C. Not bad if you ask me.

The driver also seemes to have eliminated the occurence of the slave card running at max clack speed for no reason. Although Im begingning to think it is a CUDA thing because it reapears once in a while.

All and all a good driver that is keeping the old girl relevant.

I am guessing this is the M17X? Will these drivers work with the m15x?

Yes I have a Area 51 M17x running duel 9800m Gt. You can not run the newest drivers due to a compatibility issue with the Area 51 M15x BIOS. What you can do is download the latest driver that your BIOS support, which I believe is a 186 and then download and install the latest SLI and Physx profiles. You will should most of the performance increases.

Go to the NVIDIA web site, got to the SLI and Physx pages and you will find the latest profiles to download. "They" have setup exe's that you run, very simple and easy.
