    m18xR2 fan control - overheating

    using hwinfo to force fan to 4300rpm keeps GPU at 80C but using default fan control lets it get up to 90C....is this normal? im not a fan of using HWINFO fan control because of constant crashes

    Definitely abnormal....980M should not be running that hot. Mine run in the 76-80 range, maybe the heatsink is not making good contact, or the thermal pads are not making good contact.

    i just tested it with HWINFO fan contol it stays at 70C during 100% usage so its a software issue

    one of the reasons i dont like how hwinfo controls the fans is that it will spin up to full when hitting 60C for example then spin down at 59C , its very erratic

    you can change that
