Hi guys its been a long time since I had a problem with my alienware. It started 3 weeks ago when I got a random 8 beeps. I reset CMOS then had random blue screen indicating video card/drivers. Today I got a white screen on boot up then it switches off. Does not display a thing. Been sitting on the phone listening to hold music with dell tech support. Anyone know what I can do?

    1) tried powering off and removing CMOS battery, holding power for 30secs

Just powers on to a white screen then shuts off

It could be faulty 7970m. Remove both 7970m then turn on system, if it works fine then put secondary card on primary slot. If it works then Primary 7970m is faulty.

Would it void the warranty if I do it? I would prefer to do anything I can to see what the fault is but not sure how dell will handle it
