It could be the port but to be honest I wouldn't worry about it as you will have a hard time playing any game at 1080p (assuming it's 1080p monitor) at even 30 FPS with a 560M.

I'm not trying to be insulting or anything. 560M is literally like 1/10th the speed of 980M, and I'm having to make compromises in the newer games, like Rise of the Tomb Raider, where I'm seeing 45 FPS with some of the more demanding settings like Shadow Quality on Medium, I imagine this would be 5 FPS with a 560M at this resolution and the same settings, you might be able to double that to 10-15 FPS with everything on the lowest setting, and maybe double that again to 25 FPS or so running it at 1280x720 but at that point I wouldn't even want to look at the game.

Here's 560M Firestrike, with 6 FPS in Graphics Test 1 and 2, 1400 GPU overall

For reference, I'm seeing 51 and 42 FPS Graphics Test 1 and 2 respectively and 10,650 overall.

So yeah, I wouldn't worry about not being able to convey 120 FPS to your 1080p monitor. I don't know that there exists any game, with all of the settings turned down, and at 1280x720 or even less that a 560M can push at 120 FPS.

For reference, a Playstation 4 is the equivalent of 660 Ti and is about 4x faster than your 560M equipped R1. Yes, a Playstation 4, not the Pro, just the plain Jane Playstation 4, is 4x faster than your 560M.

So youre better of scrounging up $200 and looking around for a slightly used PS4 and treating yourself to a serious upgrade that will work with that monitor.

Alternatively, if you must have a laptop that can become a gaming console, I would look for a used M18xR2 motherboard and possibly a GTX 980 ($500-700) or a pair of GTX 680's ($450-600) and an extreme processor, which in your case would be the i7 2960, a good processor, and you will need a 330W PSU, in the end you will have something that is about 3-4x faster than a Playstation 4 but youre going to spend about $1k when all is said and done and you better be prepared for a complete teardown of your R1 chassis.

I would just get the Playstation 4.

I apologize if it sounds snarky or insulting, but facts are facts, you are overdue for an upgrade my friend.
