    Hi everyone,

    I am asking for your help. I upgraded my M18X R1 with a gtx 870m. After I turn it on, black screen and 8 beeps. Cannot do nothing even get in Bios.

    It could be your LCD screen cable not connected, MB failure, or a bum primary GPU.
    I'd check everything has been properly connected and swap GPU's around while you're at it.

    I've also seen a thread where a member had the same problem upgrading to 780m SLI and got things working by either updating or unlocking his bios.

    You are going to need to take it apart again. This time, do not put it back fully together till you see it boot into windows and both cards are linked at 8x

    Hey guys,
    1st of all thenk you for your replies, I really appreciate it.
    After flashing BIOS to A05 unlocked the card finally started to run, but it is really slow,
    my fps drops and bus interface is currently running at pci-express x8 v2.0. Any suggestion how to change it? or any bios change? driver change?
    i installed modded inf driver 344.11 this is the only driver which recognized my card :/
