    Hi

just got hands on my new m18x.
really nice machine..but the space key touches the black bezel around the keyboard when hitting it.

so it seems the bezel does not fit properly..too close to the keyboard.

what should I do? call dell or see if I can fix it on my own?

See if you can fix it yourself. Just push the bezel down.

Speaking of keyboards. Anyone's keyboards buttons touch the screen when the lids closed? My d and f buttons do cause I can see little square marks on my screen when I open it up again. They wipe off easily enough but you shouldn't have to.

On the same topic as the OP are these keyboards adjustable?

Its a shame. Buy a nice quality micro fibre cloth and lay it over the keyboard before you clse the lid. I got into doing this about 7 years ago because of the same problem with my dell latitude. Never stopped doing it on my macs, hps etc....not sure i have to now but its nice to know its there protecting...

You can get some nice cloths too.

Actually, I think I'm lucky right now, they are already sending me a replacement unit cause there is something loose in the lower left corner of the laptop, I'm thinking a small screw? I'm completely willing to dismantle it to take it out but I figure, what the heck, lets see what the new one is like with the keyboard.

My keyboard does not touch the screen when closed.
Pushing down the bezel didn't help..popped up again.
I think I'll call dell and hear what they will do about it. Looks like I need a new bezel..

Battery pack is tight. Screen is perfect. Lights all work etc. It def sounds like a clip on your bezel is probably broken.

My M18x came with the whole shabang of issues, it even has a pretty loose battery pack... I hate that I have to do it, but this thing is getting exchanged. :(

My FX seems fine, it's just a lot of build quality issues that I have. They did not have a lot of care when assembling mine I suppose, there were even huge smudges on the lid when I unboxed it.
