Hey guys,
I'm praying I didn't mess up big time. I was going to put 2 storage drives in a m18x r2 and when I pulled out the hard drive caddy and slightly turned it over the ribbon suddenly popped loose from the white connector on the motherboard. The connector looks to be in place and not broken...ribbon is in tact and has the several copper things at the end.
Need some advice fast...did I really mess up?
Let me know if a picture would help
thanks

I think it should be O.k. the worst case scenario is buying a new hard drive ribbon from eBay.

ok, I'm watching video's and It appears I didn't break anything. What is the best way to reconnect the ribbon back to the white connector? Does it just push back in?

Rengsey R. H. Jr. I Never Slept
1) Install both hard drive on the caddy
2)Pull up white connector and insert the ribbon in the connector , make sure it's properly inserted all the way and push down the white connector.
3) mount hard drive caddy in bay -
Ok, ribbon is pushed back in. Hard drives are installed and I'm up and running...
