HI everyone
First posted here back in 2015 with LED problems that have now been fixed (thanks everyone who helped)
My M18X R2 came with Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 from the factory (me being an idiot I put 8.1 on it)
After much searching I managed to get my hands on the disc, unfortunately while it was the Alienware windows 7 Ultimate disc, it did not come with SP1 on it.
No matter how long I look I just can't a Alienware disc that has Ultimate with SP1, if someone has one can I have it ?
Last time I used Dells website everything was fine, my service tag listed my laptop as dispatched in 2012 in the UK all components matched up with what I have.
Now 2017 .. I type in my service tag and now Dell seams to think my laptop now comes from Germany
Factory windows Os - German
Keyboard - German
Power brick - Eu
All of these were English UK last time I did this wtf happened ?
I even got into contact with the guy I bought it of and even he says he bought it new in the UK (as if the box it came in was not proof enough
Tried using dell diagnostic test program but the results turn into German so I can't read anything -.- To piss me of even more I had to use the F12 e-PSA Pre boot system assessment program which turned up all green.
Looking through the the program I find this ...
DIAG 01/01/2011 00:13:07 Fail PSA V4228 error 2000:0114. CPU - Cache integrity test discrepancy. CPU 6 [ID 0x6] Data error at adress 0x9BB5280

You can update to SP1 from an old W7 disc after you have installed it

Rengsey R. H. Jr. I Never Slept
You can just do standard windows update to get SP1.

I will just have to download the SP1 update over a few hours then use RT7lite to make my own, that is if RT7 doesn't crash like it always does. -
It should take 5 minutes to download the 1.9gb SP1 update if you have a 58mbps connection. Try this link:

Sometimes when dealing with W7 installs, using something like wsusoffline is much faster than WU. New installs (behind on updates) have A LOT of things to check for. In many cases, wsusoffline can more quickly and just as important accurately work through that update backlog.
http://download.wsusoffline.net/
The process also goes quicker if you de-select the "verify downloaded updates" checkbox, see documentation:
http://www.wsusoffline.net/docs/
Basically:
1. Extract the contents to C:\wsusoffline\
2. Run UpdateGenerator.exe. Select "x64 Global" under "Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2" and Click Start.
(it will cache the updates to local PC.)
3. Run C:\wsusoffline\client\UpdateInstaller.exe
4. Leave "Automatic Reboot and Recall" unchecked (for now) and click "Start."
5. Let it finish. When done, run it again. Until it's worked though more of what it can.
6. Run C:\wsusoffline\client\UpdateInstaller.exe
7. This time make sure you check (enable) "Automatic Reboot and Recall" and click "Start."
8. At this point IE11 will be installed. With reboot and recall the machine will create a temporary account, reboot itself several times.
At this point most of the backlog should be installed. It will probably take 1-2 hours, maybe less. Contrast wususoffline with Microsoft Windows Update, where WU might take 23-25 hours.
