I'm having an issue with a hard lock up when using GPU-Z. I get no error messages simply a hard lock. Any idea what may cause that issue with an M18xR2? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling various versions and all have the same eventual outcome, a hard lock situation forcing me to use the power button for 6 seconds.

I might have run into that but it just went away after some driver update cycles.. Work around GPU-Z in the meantime?

That was a very common thing with 7970M CF for me. As Brother sponge_gto stated, it seems to vary with drivers. It eventually went away for me, too. If you are not running the latest version of GPU-Z, grab the latest. That might help.
