Every benchmark i run from 3dmark 06, 07, 3dmark vantage Uniengine Heaven and Valley are all now reporting that i have a dual core CPU. My Dxdiag shows as 4 cores but all bencehamarks have dropped very low. I am running 13.2 beta 6 video card driver and have just updated to the A10 bios. Any idea what the issue may be because I haven't a clue.

When did this issue begin? Are you able to associate it with any changes made to your system? Any recent Windows Updates that might of messed something up?

    Here are some thoughts...

    • Maybe your BIOS settings are incorrect. Have you tried resetting to BIOS defaults?
    • Are you plugged into AC and using the "High performance" power profile?
    • What do your "Processors" look like in Device Manager? Any error flags on the icons? Are there 8?

Device manager is registering 8 processors. As far as i can tell all bios settings are correct as it is showing 4 cores and I am indeed plugged into the wall and using a performance profile.

Well I found the problem. I checked Msconfig and found that the core count had been set to 4 on boot, so thats all it was using at all times...rather odd.SO i made a few changes and reran Dxdiag for a baseline.

It may have been a mistake while trying to do a safe boot or something. Also a Windows update might have changed it without noticing as you suggested at the beginning. At least everything is now working fine.
