I'm looking at my options on whether to upgrade my current machine to 980m sli or sell it and put the money towards a new machine.

Was wondering what the value of my machine would be if I were to sell it.

    It has:

    4900MQ
    512 SSD + 2 X 1TB HDD
    SLI 880M
    32GB ram.

Hoping maybe I can get around £2000 for it?

I can tell you from recent personal experience with an almost identical system except only 1 1TB HDD in mint condition you will get 1300-1600.00 USD if you sell it on eBay. Not sure how that converts to your currency and maybe you could get more on here but that's about all you will get on eBay. It's sad how little people will pay for that machine when you think of the alternative junk that is out there that's BGA with one GPU at the same price.

The issue is that is their "Buy it now" asking price. You need to go on eBay and lol up AW 18 completed or sold listings and see what they went for. I started out asking 2000.00 for mine. 880m sli, brand new condition, box, everything was perfect. Kept getting low ball offers. Dropped the price a few times until I was all the way down to 1499. In the meantime had 2 different people buy it and then not pay so had to keep relisting it. Still getting offers as low as 900 bucks. Finally sold it for 1300. That's the same price people pay for a cheap piece of crap like the HP Omen with a 17" screen and a single 860m. These things are still beasts and are beautiful machines and they just have zero value compared to cost now. Wish I could have afforded to just keep it for parts at that price.
