Looking to swap out the the 675s for 780s on an M18x R2.

Do I need to look at getting just the 780s or will I need new heatsinks as well?

    Yes, you'll need 100watt heatsinks.

Okay. I just thought that since the 675s are basically re-badged 580s that they might already have the three pipe heat sinks.

also, there is no such thing as double piped heatsinks for m18x r1 or r2. all of the m18x heatsink will work just perfectly with 780.

beyond that, i have ended up having my 980m in alienware 18(2013) under double piped 75w heatsink instead of 100w one because "75w" gives me lower temps by 2 degrees. some of my friends went the same route with same results. weird, ha?
